Careers at PCC

In our rapidly growing company opportunities for development and career advancement are never far away. If you are looking for challenge, to be rewarded for your results and you thrive in a demanding environment, PCC is an unparalleled place to build your career.

Technical Development PrograM

TDP is usually made available to engineers within PCC who have been working with us for a minimum of 6 months, so it is not normally possible to apply directly for the programme before joining PCC. Many of our TDPs are metallurgists or mechanical engineers. Entry to the programme is by submitting an application, followed by an interview process. Once accepted onto the programme TDPs will have a bespoke career and development plan and access to development opportunities over and above the norm. These might include development such as training courses, involvement in projects, attendance at specialist conferences (external to PCC and internal), benchmarking visits to sister sites or support to gain further qualifications. The development also includes regular meetings with a Technical Mentor whose job it is to help you develop your plan and guide you through completing it.

TDP 1 generally lasts for 2 years and by the end of it you would be a well rounded engineer.

TDP 2 is aimed at developing our future specialists and so may last longer but contains the same key ingredients, career planning, additional development, mentoring and the opportunity to raise your profile and accelerate your career.
